When organizations commit to host an appreciative inquiry process, they are sponsoring a culture of inclusiveness and positivity. Equally impactful for a small team as for a large summit, the process offers a way for people to actively mobilize change by focusing on what they want more of, stated in the positive. Through open dialogue, storytelling, and synthesizing, people co-create a dream, design a process for implementation and align individual efforts for a shared destiny.
Liberating Structures LS
LS are an ever-growing menu of simple yet powerful “structures” or engagement designs that make it easy for everyone in a group to contribute their ideas, insights, and creativity. By encouraging active participation and inclusive decision-making, they unlock the collective intelligence of teams and organizations. You can sprinkle then into your meeting agendas, or stack them to produce a strategic ideation and implementation journey.
Open Space Technology OST
OST is a dynamic and self-organizing approach to group collaboration, designed to bring people together around topics they care deeply about. It creates a space where participants set the agenda, share ideas, and explore solutions in an open and flexible format. By allowing individuals to focus on what matters most to them, Open Space fosters deep engagement, sparks innovation, and generates actionable outcomes. It’s an ideal method for tackling complex challenges, encouraging creativity, and building a sense of shared ownership, community, and commitment.
World Cafe Methodology WCM
World Cafe Methodology WCM is a wonderful informal, yet structured, way for hosting large group dialogues around topics of significance. The methodology honours a set of design principles intended to democratize participation and enhance collective listening and learning. World Cafe is easily integrated into an agenda and works well to explore real life challenges that involve peoples’ values, ideas, priorities, preferences and collective momentum for change.
